2014 Arroyo Seco
Chardonnay
Vineyard Notes: The 2014 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay is sourced from Sip Certified vineyards representing
the coolest AVA on the Monterey Peninsula. The vineyards are found on the west side of Monterey along the cold and foggy Arroyo Seco River area. The vineyards are densely planted at approximately 1700 vines per acre and are made up of alluvial gravel, rock, sand and silt. Our 2014 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay is comprised of the finest fruit Arroyo Seco offers which results in a wine of intense tropical flavors and aromas with balance and a creamy mouthfeel.
Winemaking Notes: The 2014 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay was handpicked starting late September thru early October. Grapes were gently pressed and cold soaked for approximately 2 days. A long cool fermentation followed, which allows the wine to fully express the abundant tropical fruit found in cool climate Chardonnay. Yeast is stirred during the almost 8 months in French oak and stainless steel.
Tasting Notes: A full Chardonnay that’s light on its feet, showing off nice balance and focused tropical fruit notes on the palette. The guava, honeysuckle, and pineapple notes are beautifully framed by the deft touch of French oak leading to a perfectly framed sip of tropical fruit flavors, toasty vanilla oak, and perfectly balanced acidity!

2014 Arroyo Seco
Pinot Noir
Vineyard Notes: The 2014 Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir is sourced from Sip Certified vineyards
representing the coolest AVA on the Monterey Peninsula. The vineyards are found on the west side of Monterey along the cold and foggy Arroyo Seco River area. The vineyards are densely planted at approximately 1700 vines per acre and are made up of alluvial gravel, rock, sand and silt. Our 2014 Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir is comprised of 6 distinct clones; Swan, 115,103,777,104 and 667. Clones 777, and Swan offer intense colors and aromas with balance and round tannins. Clones 115,104 and 667 create full bodied complex wines with bright acidity.
Winemaking Notes: The 2014 Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir was handpicked on October 14th. Grapes were destemmed into 5 ton open top fermenters, cold soaked for 6 days and then fermented for 12 days, for a total of 18 days of skin contact. We let the wine age in a combination of temperature controlled stainless steel, new and used oak for approximately 10 months. This process allowed for the evolution of the silky tannins.
Tasting Notes: A rich and vibrant wine that’s deceptively complex. A Pinot Noir that gushes with ripe and focused Strawberry, black cherry, and red plum fruit flavors. A sleek and finely textured wine that hints of spice and cola as the flavors all come together seamlessly on the long polished finish!
2012 Napa Valley
Reserve
Cabernet Sauvignon
Vineyard Notes: The vineyard is located at 1600 feet in the Vaca Mountain Range in the Atlas Peak AVA. At the highest elevations in this esteemed AVA on the eastern slopes of Napa valley, the extremely rocky site benefits from cool evenings and mornings and warm afternoons.
Vintage Notes: “Classic” and “perfect” are just two accolades being bestowed upon the 2012 Napa Valley growing season and harvest. Textbook conditions saw near-ideal spring bud break, steady flowering, even fruit set, and a lengthy stretch of warm days and cool and often foggy nights during the long summer months. Late and light rains held off until Napa Valley’s treasured wine grapes found optimal ripeness, bringing exceptional quality to the crush pad and into the cellar.
Winemaking Notes: The Grapes were harvested on October 16th at 25.8 brix. The clusters were destemmed and the whole berries transferred to tank with no crushing. The must was cold soaked for 72 hours, inoculated D254 yeast, then pumped over twice daily during fermentation. The maceration lasted 21 days then the free run wine was drained and settled for 3 days before going to barrel. The wine was aged for 20 months in French Oak of which 45% was new. The Blend is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting Notes: Bright boysenberry and blueberry jam, with vanilla, sage, and tobacco notes. Round juicy black fruit on the palate, smooth tannins and a full body finish with lingering notes of cedar and caramel.
